💜How the Lavender Boat came to be…
Hi there, lovely to meet you! Here I will explain how I Love Lavender so much and why it is important to me.
I’m Tracy, the creator and owner of the Lavender Boat. I live in a small Yorkshire town in England.
Surrounded by gardens and close by fields where the scent of lavender fills the air.
Those smells flood me with happy nostalgia – reminding me of my grandmother’s house and her lavender garden, where I played as a child. I can still picture the hazy purple rows of fragrant blossoms buzzing with bees.
The Beauty Is All Aroud
When I inhale the sweet aroma of lavender, it feels like home. For me, lavender signifies serenity, beauty, and pleasant childhood memories. My grandma and many others have taught me about the secrets of lavender – how to dry the buds for sachets, brew tea from the leaves, and soothe sunburns with the oil.
As an adult with my own home, it felt therapeutic to have my own lavender garden. Tending to those familiar purple stalks and flowers kept me connected to precious memories. Gradually, my passion grew beyond the garden. I wanted to learn everything about lavender!
So, I read widely about the extensive history of lavender, its health benefits, and its diverse uses. I chatted with other lavender enthusiasts. I experimented with lavender in my cooking, DIY projects, yoga routine – you name it. What started as a beloved family tradition blossomed into a full-blown lifestyle and creative outlet.
Another Love
Along with Lavender filled spaces another place I feel very connected to is by or in water. i just love everything about it. A big dream of mine one day soon is to live on a boat and that is why I felt drawn to call this site the Lavender Boat.

Now I want to share the magic of lavender with you through this website. I started Lavender Boat to help newcomers discover the joys and advantages of incorporating lavender into everyday life. Everything you find here comes straight from my heart and personal experience.
